We used the information from your application to evaluate your financial background and credit score to determine the best credit limit possible. (This is pretty standard, btw.)
Don’t worry, credit limits aren’t always permanent! Our plans are meant to help you increase your credit limit over time.
No matter the plan you’re on, we’re here to help you grow financially.
Your credit limit is the maximum amount of money that a credit card company will lend you. Itās determined by things like your credit score, annual income, existing debts (like student loans) and more.
TLDR – a credit limit caps how much you can charge to your Neu Card so that you donāt borrow more than you can pay back!
You are charged interest if you are enrolled on the Neu Card 2 plan. No interest is charged on other plans. Whether your plan has interest or not, Neu is focused on helping you grow your credit score and make progress towards any financial goals you may have.
It depends. You might be able to spend more than your credit limit, but your card will probably be declined if you try to spend more than your available credit amount.
You can check your account balance and available credit in the app.
Okay, we’ve simplified this for you: Credit limit is how much money the credit card company will lend you. Available credit is the amount of money still available to spend on your card after you charge stuff. (Example: If your credit limit is $1,000, and you spend $100 on a new fit, your available credit would be $900 (until you make a payment)).
Credit limits stay the same, but your available credit will change depending on how much you’ve been spending and how much you’ve paid off.
Yes, because your monthly payments will be paid through that external bank account.
To securely link an account, go to the Banks section in the app and follow the instructions listed below.
- Tap on the menu button at the bottom of the app
- Tap on Banks
- Tap on Add bank
If you have a negative balance on your account (this is a good thing for credit cards – it means we now owe you), you’re eligible for a positive credit balance refund.
You can contact Neu support to ask for the refund. We’ll either deposit it into your linked account or mail you a physical check. If you don’t ask for a refund, that balance will automatically get applied to new, upcoming charges on your card.
Tap the Contact us tab in the Neu app, email us at support@neumoney.app or talk to a real human when you call 1-844-NEU-DIAL, Mon-Fri, 10am-7pm EST.
Remember when your parents used to get paper bills? Your statement balance is that ā a screenshot of all your activity during your billing cycle. Billing cycle is monthly from the 1st of the month to the last of the month.
Your current balance updates whenever you use your card, so it shows how much in total you owe on your card in real time. So if you bought something after your billing cycle ended, your current balance would be higher than your statement balance.
To securely link an account, go to the Banks section in the app and follow the instructions listed below.
- Tap on the menu button at the bottom of the app
- Tap on Banks
- Tap on Add bank

Autopay is like autopilot for payments.
When you set up Autopay, you choose a fixed amount (anywhere from your monthly minimum to the full monthly statement) and a recurring date. Every month, your payment is automatically withdrawn from your external bank account without you having to do anything. That’s it!
Turn on or view your Autopay details by following these steps:
- Tap on the card button at the bottom of the app.
- Tap on Payments
- Tap on Autopay
- If you’ve already set up Autopay, your payment details will be displayed. If you haven’t set up Autopay yet, you can turn it on the app.
To view your monthly statements:
- Tap on the card button at the bottom of the app
- Tap on Statements
- Tap on the month you’d like to view
- Your statement details will be displayed. You can also tap on Download Statement to download your statement in PDF format.
Yes! You should definitely add your Neu Card to your phone so you can tap to pay for stuff. To add your Neu Card to your phone:
- Tap on the menu button at the bottom of the app
- Tap on Add to wallet
- Follow the instructions on your phone to finish adding your card to your Apple / Google / Samsung pay wallet
Great question! There are lots of ways to increase your credit score. Here’s a few tips to help your score grow over time:
- Pay your monthly payment on time: late payments can have a negative impact on your credit score. Consider using Autopay to make this part even easier!
- Try to use less than 30% of your total credit limit: keeping your credit utilization below 30% shows that you’re using your credit card responsibly which in turn helps increase your score.
- Pay your Neu Card balance in full each month: paying your balance in full each month not only helps you keep your credit utilization low but it also shows a history of responsible payments.
- Avoid applying for too much credit at once: multiple credit applications within a short period of time can negatively impact your credit score. Only apply for credit when absolutely necessary!
- Remember, improving your credit score takes time and consistent responsible financial behavior. Neu can help you get there!
If you have any questions, tap the Contact us link in the Neu app or call us at 1-844-NEU-DIAL, Mon-Fri 10am-7pm EST.

- Tap on the card button at the bottom of the app
- Tap on Summary
- You’ll see your minimum monthly payment amount along with other important details such as your monthly payment due date
Btw, you may always pay more than your minimum, this will increase the amount of your available credit, which raises the ceiling on how much you can spend.
You can pull up your transaction history through the Card button at the bottom of the app. You can then search and sort for specific transactions and view their details.
Notice an error on your monthly statement? Don’t recognize some charges in your transaction history? See a couple of š©š©š©? Let’s investigate!
Tap the Contact us tab in the Neu app or call us at 1-844-NEU-DIAL, between Mon-Fri 10am-7pm EST! We’ll ask you for some details and we’ll get to the bottom of this.
To make a payment:
- Tap on the card button at the bottom of the app
- Tap on Payments
- Select either Autopay or One-time payment and confirm your payment details
That’s it! You’re all set. You can make payments using your linked bank account whenever you want, as long as it’s on or before your due date.
Btw, if you set up Autopay, you can designate a fixed amount and recurring date so that your monthly payment is automatically withdrawn from your account. Just something to consider!
I’m really sorry to hear that. We’ve got you! To report your card as lost or stolen:
- From the home screen, tap on the menu button at the bottom of the app
- Tap on Replace card
