Cash Back Rewards Program Terms

  • Overview

    Neu customers (“You”) who are subscribed to the “Build” or “Build + Expand” plan are automatically enrolled in Neu’s (“Us”) Cash Back Rewards Program where every purchase transaction earns 1.25% in cash back that is automatically redeemed towards any outstanding balance on their Neu Credit Card account. Neu may, from time to time, offer additional opportunities to earn higher percentages of cash back when customers make a qualifying purchase during a designated promotional period at participating merchants as described below.

  • Program Participation
    • The Cash Back Rewards Program is available to all Neu Customers who are currently subscribed to Neu’s “Build” or “Build + Expand” subscription plan with an account that is in “Good Standing” (“Good Standing” is defined below) and in compliance with the terms and arbitration agreement found in the Neu Money DBA “Neu” Card Cardholder Agreement as may be amended from time to time, and any other disclosures agreed to as part of opening your Neu credit card.
      • Definition of Account in “Good Standing”: Neu Money defines a credit card account in good standing for the purposes of this Cash Back Rewards Program, as including but not being limited to an account that has been approved for one or both subscription options with a valid external bank account linked and is active, not blocked, past due, flagged, or restricted in any way.
    • If at any time your Neu Credit Card account is not in Good Standing, we may, in our sole discretion, temporarily block your account and suspend your ability to make transactions or close your account permanently.
    • If your account is not in Good Standing, and we temporarily block your account as a result, you will not earn Cash Back beyond the first statement that is generated after your card is blocked (provided that you had qualifying purchases in the billing cycle prior to your card being blocked).

    • If your Card Account is closed by you for any reason, you will forfeit any unredeemed Cash Back Rewards.
  • Merchant Specific Offers
    • Neu may, from time to time, offer merchant-specific Cash Back Rewards offers (“Offer”) with higher Cash Back Rewards percentage opportunities delivered through the Neu mobile app.
    • You may have the opportunity to earn higher percentages of Cash Back for Qualifying Transactions made at participating merchants, which are defined as transactions that satisfy all requirements specified in the merchant-specific Offer and this Agreement.
    • The amount of Cash Back Rewards earned on Qualifying Transactions as well as any additional terms and conditions of the Offer will be presented in the merchant-specific cashback Offer terms shown in the Neu mobile app.
    • All Cash Back Rewards earned through merchant-specific Offers will be redeemed in the same manner as standard non-merchant specific Cash Back Rewards earned through everyday purchases as described herein.
  • Category Specific Offers
    • Neu may, from time to time, offer category-specific Cash Back Rewards offers (“Offer”) with higher Cash Back Rewards percentage opportunities delivered through the Neu mobile app.
    • You may have the opportunity to earn higher percentages of Cash Back for Qualifying Transactions made at specific categories of merchants (ex. grocery stores, coffee shops, restaurants, etc.), which are defined as transactions that satisfy all requirements specified in the category-specific Offer and this Agreement.
    • The amount of Cash Back Rewards earned on Qualifying Transactions as well as any additional terms and conditions of the Offer will be presented in the category-specific cashback Offer terms shown in the Neu mobile app.
    • All Cash Back Rewards earned through category-specific Offers will be redeemed in the same manner as standard non-category specific Cash Back Rewards earned through everyday purchases as described herein.
  • Qualifying Transactions
    • Transactions that Qualify for Cash Back Rewards Include:
      • Most online purchases, except for those outlined in the “do not” qualify section below
      • Most In-person purchases, except for those outlined in the “do not” qualify section below
    • Transactions that Do Not Qualify for Cash Back Rewards Include:
      • Refunds or Credits
      • ATM Transactions (not a feature of the Neu Credit Card)
      • International Transactions (currently not a feature of the Neu Credit Card)
      • Referral Rewards
      • Monthly minimum payments for your account
      • Purchase of travelers checks
      • Foreign currency
      • Money Orders
      • Wire transfers or similar cash-like transactions
      • Lottery tickets
      • Casino gaming chips
      • Race track wagers or similar betting transactions
      • Any checks that access your account
      • Unauthorized or fraudulent charges
      • Fees of any kind, including the monthly subscription fee
  • Program Details
    • 1.25% cash back. You will earn 1.25% Cash Back rewards on all eligible purchases
    • At the end of each billing cycle, Cash Back Rewards are calculated by multiplying the total amount you spent (minus any returns and subscription or other fees) by 1.25%
    • Subject to the Cash Back Rewards Program terms, Cash Back Rewards are awarded in the form of a statement credit that is automatically applied to the outstanding balance on your Neu Credit Card account.
      • No Outstanding Balance on Account”: In the event that no outstanding balance exists on your account, any earned Cash Back rewards will be carried forward and applied to any balance incurred during the next billing cycle.
    • Cash Back Rewards are earned based on the net dollar amount of Qualifying Transactions made during the current billing cycle.
      • How Cashback works with Refunds and Negative Balances: When you use your Neu card, you’ll earn cashback as a reward for your purchases. This cashback is like a little bonus, and you don’t need to do anything to get it – it happens automatically. At the end of your billing cycle (the month or statement period), we’ll calculate how much cashback you’ve earned. If you’ve made any returns during that time, we’ll subtract the cashback related to those returned purchases as you’ll only earn cashback for the things you actually keep/use. But don’t worry, we won’t take away more cashback than you’ve earned. If the returned cashback is more than what you earned in that billing cycle, we’ll keep track of the excess for you. We’ll hang onto it and use it to offset any positive cashback you earn in the future. So, your cashback will never go into the negative – you won’t owe us anything. We’re just making sure you get what you deserve and saving any extra for you to enjoy later.
  • Limits
    • There is no limit to the amount of Cash Back Rewards you can earn with Neu.
  • Expiration
    • There is no expiration date for Cash Back Rewards earned.
  • Compliance with Program Terms
    • Cash Back rewards have no cash value. You may not assign, transfer, or pledge your cash rewards. You have no property rights or other legal interest in cash rewards.
    • Neu reserves the right to audit and correct any account holder’s Cash Back Rewards activity.
    • If your account is closed or not in good standing for any reason at any time, any unredeemed Cash Back Rewards awarded hereunder will be permanently forfeited.
    • If your account is closed by you for any reason, any unredeemed Cash Back Rewards will be permanently forfeited.
    • We reserve the right to remove any participant from the Cash Back Rewards Program, and close their Neu Credit Card account, in the event that we suspect fraud or abuse in connection with the terms listed in this agreement or Neu’s Cardholder Agreement.
  • Termination and Modification to Program
    • Neu, in its sole and absolute discretion, reserves the right to terminate, suspend, or modify the Cash Back Rewards Program Terms, eligibility requirements, amount of Cash Back awarded, conditions of participation, or any other aspect of the Cash Back Rewards Program, in whole or in part, at any time, with or without notice; however, any changes will not impact previously redeemed Cash Back Rewards.
  • Dispute Resolution
    • Our processing platform serves as the system of record for your Cash Back Rewards activity. This includes the amount of Cash Back Rewards that you have earned, the amount of Cash Back Rewards that have been automatically redeemed on your account, and the percentage of Cash Back Rewards you are eligible to earn on Qualifying Transactions.
    • In the event that there is a perceived discrepancy between your records and the processing platform, the information from the processing platform will be deemed correct.
    • Customer concerns regarding perceived Cash Back Reward inaccuracies must be raised using the following steps:
      • Send details about the perceived inaccuracy by email to support@neumoney.app
      • Neu, in its sole discretion, will review the details of the perceived inaccuracy within the system of record and determine whether or not a correction to the identified Cash Back Rewards activity is necessary.
      • Any Cash Back Rewards correction initiated by Neu will be made at Neu’s sole discretion and, if applicable, as a one-time courtesy.
  • Limitation on Liability and Disclaimer of Warranties
    • By participating in the Cash Back Rewards Program, you agree that Neu, it’s agents, representatives, affiliates, and employees will have no liability whatsoever for any injuries, losses, claims, damages or any special, exemplary, punitive, indirect, incidental or consequential damages of any kind, whether based in contract, tort, strict liability or otherwise, resulting from your participation in the Program or receipt or use of any Cash Back Rewards, any failure or unforeseen delay by Neu in connection with the Cash Back Rewards Program, or the performance or non-performance of the Cash Back Rewards Program by Neu, even if Neu has been advised of the possibility of damages. This disclaimer of liability applies to any damages or injury caused by any failure of performance, error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation, computer virus, communications line failure, theft or destruction, unauthorized access to, alteration of, or use of any information provided by any person participating in the Cash Back Rewards Program.
    • Neu makes no warranty of any kind regarding the Cash Back Rewards Program or any Cash Back Reward, which are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Neu expressly disclaims all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, and those arising by statute or otherwise in law or from a course of dealing or usage of trade. Neu is not responsible or liable for any warranty, representation, or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to the Cash Back Rewards Program or any Cash Back Reward, including without limitation that the Cash Back Rewards Program will be error-free, or as to the accuracy, completeness and timeliness of any content or information distributed with respect to the Cash Back Rewards Program. Some states do not allow the limitation of liability and disclaimer of implied warranties, so the disclaimers and limitations above may not apply to you.

    • These Cash Back Rewards Program terms make up the entire agreement between you (“The Customer”) and Neu (“Us”) relating to the Cash Back Rewards Program and replace any prior understandings or agreements (whether oral or written) regarding the Cash Back Rewards Program. Any disputes arising from the Cash Back Rewards Program terms will be subject to the arbitration agreement and class action waiver contained in Neu’s Cardholder Agreement.
